The House Appropriations Committee has postponed its Wednesday (May 24) markup of the fiscal 2024 FDA spending bill that would essentially provide the agency with flat discretionary funding following a meeting between House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) and President Joe Biden who are still trying to negotiate a debt limit deal and avoid a U.S. default .
