Anthem: Earnings Up Due To Tax Law, ACA Presence Down In 2018, AHPs On Horizon

Anthem officials told investors the insurer's profits are up partly due to the new corporate tax credit, and, while the insurer's Obamacare plan enrollment will slow down in 2018, its Medicaid and Medicare Advantage plan enrollment likely will increase. The officials also welcomed the Trump administration’s push for association health plans, and said it hopes to expand into that space.
