AMGA Tells CMS To Quickly Allow Telehealth, Other Hurdles Remain

The American Medical Group Association is urging CMS to quickly implement the Medicare telehealth waiver authority granted by the supplemental COVID-19 funding legislation, but the Center for Connected Health Policy says there are hurdles to using telehealth during the public health crisis. The law, signed by the president Friday (March 6), lets qualified Medicare providers offer telehealth services during the coronavirus response to beneficiaries they have seen within the past three years.
