American Hospital Association Recommends CMMI Payment Model Changes

The American Hospital Association wrote to CMS’ innovation center Tuesday (Dec. 14) proposing several changes to the center’s adjusted payment model system. The hospital lobby calls for additional up-front resources for providers switching to APMs, streamlined online data system to promote telehealth, incorporation of equity initiatives into APMs and overall care, and phased-in implementation periods.
