AMA Urges Prior Auth Reform As Lawmakers Prepare To Push Long-Awaited Bill

The American Medical Association (AMA) on Tuesday (June 11) passed policies calling for greater oversight of health insurers’ use of prior authorization, coming as lawmakers gear up to reintroduce legislation backed by physicians that would institute a streamlined electronic prior authorization process.
