AMA Council Rejects Single-Payer Resolution, Calls For Strengthening ACA

The American Medical Association’s Council on Medical Services, tasked with making health care policy recommendations, has rejected medical students’ call for AMA to scrap its long-standing opposition to single-payer health care and instead is recommending the physician group advocate improvements to the Affordable Care Act.
