AHCA To Senate: Strip Nursing Home Workforce Provisions In House BBB

American Health Care Association President and CEO Mark Parkinson is calling on the Senate to remove provisions in House Democrats’ Build Back Better reconciliation package that require nursing homes have a minimum staffing ratio and registered nurses available 24 hours a day, but Toby Edelman with the Center for Medicare Advocacy said the provisions should stay in because quality of care and outcomes improve with better staffing.
