AHCA To HHS: Extend PHE, Continuous Medicaid Enrollment

The Biden administration should extend the public health emergency beyond its current expiration of Jan. 11 as states are not prepared to process the mass Medicaid renewals that will ensue once the declaration expires, nursing homes say in a letter to HHS on Wednesday (Nov. 2) in which they asked the administration to ensure long-term care populations are made a priority during the PHE unwinding.
