Advocates, Public Health Officials Alarmed Admin Scrapped Long COVID Office, Funds

Long COVID patient advocates and public health officials are deeply concerned and seeking clarity on whether the Trump administration actually has a plan to address the disease, which at least 20 million Americans have been diagnosed with, after HHS abruptly rescinded nearly $11.4 billion in COVID-19-related funding for state and local health departments and shut down the federal Office of Long COVID Research and Practice (OLC) last week.
