Advocates, Plans: Relax Site, Licensing Rules To Increase Telehealth

Providers, advocates and plans called for relaxed licensing and originating site policies as well as a national coordinating body on telehealth in response to questions from lawmakers on how to expand access to telehealth. The Congressional Telehealth Caucus called on stakeholders in March to weigh in on how to expand telehealth to rural areas, encourage uptake of telehealth technology and reduce costs, particularly for Medicare.
