Advisors Agree Phenylephrine Oral Drugs Don’t Work, Nix Idea Of Boosting Dose

After reviewing new FDA data showing long-marketed decongestant products using phenylephrine are useless unless reconfigured with higher dosages, agency advisers Tuesday (Sept. 12) effectively recommended the oral medications, such as Sudafed PE and Vicks Sinex, be removed from the market.
