$270 Million Settlement Bans Purdue From Marketing Opioids In Oklahoma

Purdue Pharma, the manufacturer of OxyContin, has settled with the state of Oklahoma for $270 million in the state’s opioid litigation against multiple opioid makers over their allegedly deceptive marketing practices. Under the settlement, Purdue also will no longer be allowed to promote and market analgesic opioids in Oklahoma, state Attorney General Mike Hunter said on Tuesday (March 26).
