Health care stakeholders who backed the legal challenge to the Trump administration’s expansion of short-term health plans are asking HHS Secretary Xavier Becerra to quickly issue new regulations that restore the Obama-era policy that limits the plans’ duration to three months. They also ask Becerra to require contracts for the short-term limited duration insurance (STLDI) to end Dec. 31 so that consumers can consider switching to an ACA product during open enrollment, and they urge him to make the changes...
