Telehealth Makes The Cut In President's Budget Proposal

A telehealth proposal that made it into President Obama's fiscal 2017 budget resembles provisions in Sen. Brian Schatz's (D-HI) recently introduced bill , including a plan to allow federally qualified health centers and rural health clinics to be originating telehealth sites under Medicare and expand telehealth services in Medicare Advantage. The budget proposal allows the HHS secretary to expand telehealth services in Medicare Advantage organizations by getting rid of Part B requirements that require certain covered services to be provided...
