Sens. Boxer, Blumenthal Reintroduce GE Food Right-To-Know Act

Sens. Barbara Boxer (D-CA) and Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) reintroduced the Genetically Engineered Right-To-Know Act, which would require food labels to include genetic engineering information, bringing applause from consumer advocates. The bill, reintroduced Thursday (Feb. 12), defines genetic engineering as DNA manipulation in ingredients, whether they are combined with non-GE ingredients or not.
