PCORI Awards $64M For Comparative Effectiveness Studies On Cancer, Back Pain, Stroke

The comparative effectiveness research group created by the Affordable Care Act announced $64 million in federal grants to study cancer, back pain and stroke, according to a release by the Patient-Centered Outcomes and Research Institute. The grants range from $7.75 million to $14.5 million each and the studies they fund will involve thousands to tens of thousands of patients.
