Pallone, Wyden Urge CMS To Improve Lead Screening

House Energy & Commerce ranking Democrat Frank Pallone (NJ) and Senate Finance ranking Democrat Ron Wyden (OR) sent a letter to CMS Acting Administrator Andy Slavitt urging the agency to improve its lead screening oversight. Specifically, the lawmakers request more information on the agency’s efforts to ensure Medicaid-eligible children are receiving regular blood lead screenings.
