Organ Transplant Group Advocates For New Donation System

A new group, called the Coalition for Organ Distribution Equity, has formed to advocate for a fairer organ donation system that gives organs to the sickest patients, regardless of where they live. The current system is regionalized with the sickest patients in an area placed at the top of regional waiting lists, even when patients in other regions need transplants more urgently.
