The Justice Department's newly announced sweep of health care fraud covers nearly every type of Medicare fraud, a lawyer who represents whistleblowers noted. HHS Secretary Sylvia Burwell and Attorney General Loretta Lynch said Wednesday (June 22) that criminal and civil charges were brought against 301 individuals as a result of $900 million in alleged false billings.
