Coalition Urges HHS To Enforce QHP Consumer Protections

A coalition of 219 patient groups is calling on HHS to commit to scrutinizing bids from issuers seeking to participate in the federally facilitated health exchanges, to ensure they do not discriminate against patients and abide by the consumer-protection policies included in recent rulemaking. Plans were required to submit applications to HHS by Friday (May 15), and CMS will be reviewing the bids from Monday (May 18) through June 26.
