CMS To Pay Nursing Home Providers More For High-Intensity Interventions

CMS is extending for four years its initiative to reduce the number of hospitalizations from nursing homes, and participants can apply to test a new model that pays practitioners more for high-intensity interventions. The program targets long-term stay nursing home residents who receive Medicare and Medicaid coverage.
