CMS Notifies IRFs, LTCHs That Didn't Report Quality Of Upcoming Cuts

CMS says it has notified some inpatient rehabilitation facilities that they were out of compliance with the IRF quality reporting program for 2015, and those facilities will see a cut in their 2017 pay. The agency says those providers who would like to submit a reconsideration request to CMS should do so by Aug. 19. The IRF quality reporting program was created by the Affordable Care Act.
