CMS Extends Deadline For QHP Submission Of Initial Risk Adjustment Data Audits

CMS earlier this month announced it extended the Dec. 1 deadline to submit Initial Validation Audit (IVA) results. The agency is now accepting submissions of IVA materials from the 2015 plan year from Nov. 21 through Dec. 16. The HHS-Operated Risk Adjustment Validation process validates the accuracy and quality of data provided by issuers used to calculate risk scores, and “promotes confidence in the budget-neutral payment transfers” under the risk adjustment program, the agency says.
