CDC: Foodborne Illness Rates Remain Same In 2014, But Progress On E. Coli, Salmonella

A Centers for Disease Control and Prevention FoodNet report released Thursday (May 14) shows progress in reducing two major foodborne illnesses in 2014, but overall the number of infections remains steady. The FoodNet report found that rates of infection from a serious form of E. coli and a common Salmonella stereotype went down compared to baseline years 2006-2008.
