California Medicaid Coverage For Undocumented Children Starts In May

Children's advocates are pleased coverage is about to start for undocumented children who are eligible for Medicaid in California. California is the largest state to cover low-income undocumented children and joins New York, Illinois, Massachusetts, Washington state and Washington, D.C., according to Families USA. The 2015-2016 California state budget includes $40 million to expand Medi-Cal coverage to low-income children under the age of 19 regardless of their immigration status.
