Public Citizen: FDA Should Halt 'Revolving Door' Of Agency, Industry Advisors

Public Citizen wants FDA to issue guidance restricting what it calls “revolving-door arrangements” that allow temporary FDA advisors to also appear as paid industry speakers before the advisory committee on which they serve. In a letter sent Wednesday (Sept. 10) the group said core advisory committee members should be barred from also appearing as paid industry advisors during their appointed terms and FDA should mandate time elapses or a “cooling off period” between the end of a voting member's tenure...
