Hospitals are uneasy with the bills on changes to Medicare hospital policy that the House Ways & Means health subcommittee introduced before the August recess and are quietly lobbying for changes, lobbyists say. Health subcommittee Chair Kevin Brady (R-TX) said in late July that the bills are meant to be the basis for a larger hospital-related bill this fall, but a hospital lobbyist said it'll be difficult to pass even the initial legislation without hospitals' support, and Democrats are unhappy...
