Lawmakers Urge CMS To Consider A Settlement For Home Health Denials

A bipartisan group of New England senators is asking CMS to consider a settlement for face-to-face denials in the appeals process similar to what the agency recently offered to hospitals, though an industry official says CMS has not been very open to the idea. The lawmakers also ask the agency to explain how it will handle home health face-to-face documentation and denials in light of CMS' decision change some of the requirements in 2015.
