The Biden administration on Monday (April 22) issued a final rule through HHS’ Office of Civil Rights that will strengthen the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPPA) to prohibit disclosing to law enforcement private health information related to reproductive health care for people who travel across state lines for abortion care.
