Senate, House Bill Would Protect Self-Insured Employees

Senate Health Committee Chairman Lamar Alexander (R-TN), Sen. Bill Cassidy (R-LA) and Rep. Phil Roe (R-TN) last week introduced twin bills that would ensure employers can continue offering self-insured group health plans, pushing back against what they believe is the Obama administration's intent to end "stop-loss" measures associated with those plans.
