Medical societies representing doctors, hospitals, nursing homes and home care warned lawmakers that their new Medicare sequestration tactic sets a bad precedent because, instead of merely extending sequestration, lawmakers now are considering increasing sequestration pay cuts, this time to help offset the cost of trade legislation.
