Lawmakers urged CMS on Tuesday (May 24) to strengthen program integrity to deal with persistently high payment errors in Medicaid and Medicare, coming after the HHS Office of Inspector General told CMS it has 30 days to send Congress proposals to lower improper payments in Medicare fee-for-service and bring the program back into compliance.
