GOP Eyes Exchange Subsidies To Pay For 1-2 Yr SGR Fix; Lawmakers Float Full Repeal With War Savings

Republicans are looking at recapturing health reform exchange subsidies to pay for a Medicare physician payment patch, a key Republican lawmaker tells Inside Health Policy. Lawmakers are also revisiting the prospect of using war savings for a permanent 10-year repeal of the Sustainable Growth Rate formula, sources say, although the proposal faces technical hurdles.
