HHS To Launch Initial Web Portal July 1, Then Contract With Private Vendor
HHS is planning a two-step launch of a nationwide web portal designed to help consumers purchase individual and small group plans: The department will oversee the initial informational website, slated to go live July 1, and will then contract out the more complex functions to a private vendor – chosen after an open bidding process - in October, an agency official says.
