Kagen Eyes Transparency Bill Compromise As PhRMA, Providers Push Back

Rep. Steve Kagen (D-WI) told Inside Health Policy that he hopes his price transparency legislation -- one of three related bills slated for a hearing in the Energy and Commerce health subcommittee on Thursday (May 6) -- will come up for a floor vote, and said he has reached out to Republicans in search of a compromise. “I think what we're going to do is we're going to go through the hearing, then go to markup, and then hopefully bring it to the floor,” he said.
