Third Open Enrollment Ends; House's Reconciliation Veto Override Flops

The third open enrollment period has come to a close as HHS keeps its pledge not to extend enrollment past Sunday, but the administration will still grant those who were “in line” more time to complete the process. A CMS spokesperson said that call volume at the federal call center surged around 5 p.m. Sunday, and some callers were asked to leave their contact information with employees so they could be reached on Monday to finish the process.
