CMS Delays Risk Adjustment Data Validation Tests Until 2016

CMS will not run validation tests on insurers' risk adjustment data from 2014, and will only hold one year of preliminary tests -- in 2016 using 2015 data -- instead of two as originally planned. The agency will still fully begin its risk adjustment data validation program in 2018, the agency announced July 16 . “Risk adjustment payments and charges will continue to be adjusted in 2018 for 2016 benefit year data, in keeping with the original schedule,” CMS said...
