Stakeholders Upset CMS Won't Explicitly Endorse Third-Party Payments

Beneficiary advocates and other interested parties say they are deeply frustrated by CMS' continuing refusal to explicitly require qualified health plans to accept premium payments from third-party groups -- such as charities and hospitals -- despite the stakeholders assertion the lack of clear regulatory language is impeding coverage access. Advocates say they will continue to push for a regulation specifically stating plans must take the payments.
