GOP Backs Bill To Repeal HSA, FSA Restrictions

Republican Sen. John Barrasso (WY) and Rep. Erik Paulsen (MN) introduced twin bills Monday that aim to end restrictions on health savings and flexible spending accounts as outlined in the Affordable Care Act. The health reform law caps FSA contributions at $2,500 and does not allow HSA and FSA owners to spend their account funds on over-the-counter medicines without a prescription.
