FDA Offers Prize For Salmonella Detection System For Minimally Processed Produce

FDA is seeking better ways to detect disease-causing organisms in food, especially Salmonella in fresh produce, through the 2014 FDA Food Safety Challenge, which has a total prize pool of $500,000 to incentavize food safety experts such as scientists, academics, entrepreneurs and innovators.
