Duke University's Robert Califf Named FDA Deputy For Medical Products And Tobacco

FDA announced Monday (Jan. 26) that Duke University Vice Chancellor of Clinical and Transitional Research Robert Califf has been named deputy commissioner for Medical Products and Tobacco where he will provide “executive leadership” to the agency's drug, biologics, device and tobacco centers. Califf will also oversee the Office of Special Medical Programs within the Office of the Commissioner. Califf will join the FDA in late February.
