Pew: Problematic Antibiotic Labels Will Remain After FDA Guide Implemented

A new Pew Charitable Trusts report says that 140 animal antibiotic drug labels will still not fully meet FDA's judicious use standards even after FDA's guidance calling for growth promotion indications to be removed from such labels is fully implemented. The report echoes concerns the group has raised about FDA's guidance in the past, where some products can fall into a loophole by not containing indications of growth promotion but still have other indications the group considers problematic.
