Medical Education And Research Groups Seek To Hike NIH, HRSA Funding

Several groups as well as members of the Health Professions and Nursing Education Coalition (HPNEC) sent letters to the Senate Appropriations Committee calling for more money to be allocated to government agencies that fund medical research and loan repayment programs for students entering the health care field. A letter from the coalition itself asks the HHS subcommittee to increase funding of education, grant, and loan programs administered through the Health Resources and Services Administration.
