McConnell Files Cloture On Califf Nomination, Vote Expected After Recess

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (KY) on Thursday (Feb. 11) filed cloture for a vote on the nomination of Robert Califf as FDA commissioner. A spokesperson for the senator in an emailed announcement said the vote would take place after 5:30 pm on Feb. 22, when the upper chamber returns from recess.
