Lawmakers Don't Want Bid Prices Used For Complex Wheelchair Accessories

Durable medical equipment suppliers and some beneficiary advocates are urging lawmakers to pressure CMS not to apply competitive bid pricing to complex rehabilitative wheelchair accessories, and a bipartisan group of six lawmakers spearheading a letter to CMS say the agency's application of the bid prices would lead to cuts of up to 50 percent for suppliers.
