FDA Taps Prior PhRMA, Merck General Counsel As Senior Advisor

Sally Howard, FDA senior advisor to the commissioner and acting chief of staff, is leaving FDA at the end of September, according to an internal memo dated Wednesday (Aug. 26). The memo also states that the agency tapped Bruce Kuhlik, who has been general counsel to both Merck & Co. and the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America, as a senior advisor to the commissioner starting Sept. 8.
