CSPI Sues FDA For Not Answering Citizen Petition Seeking Stricter Salt Limits In Food

The Center for Science in the Public Interest sued FDA Thursday (Oct. 9) demanding the agency respond to the group's 2005 citizen petition calling for stricter controls over salt levels in food. This is the second time CSPI has sued FDA for not responding to a citizen petition regarding salt -- the first being a 1983 suit dismissed by the court.
