CMS To Reimburse Issuers For 100 Percent Of Reinsurance Funds

CMS will give 100 percent of reinsurance funds back to issuers instead of 80 percent as previously planned, an agency spokesman told Inside Health Policy Wednesday (June 17). Reinsurance contributions exceed the total requests for reinsurance payments for the 2014 benefit year, CMS said, prompting the increased coinsurance rate on all eligible claims.
