CMS Implements Value-Based Purchasing, Reporting Programs In Nursing Home Pay Rule

CMS released a final 2016 pay rule for nursing homes Thursday (July 30) that implements the value-based purchasing and quality reporting programs that Congress created in separate laws last year. The White House's Office of Management and Budget also is done reviewing the final pay rules for hospice and inpatient rehabilitation facilities, according to OMB's website, so CMS might publish those Friday.
