Rep. Buddy Carter (R-GA) recently blasted HHS for not communicating with him before FDA issued draft guidance banning office-use compounding by traditional pharmacists. He said as the “only pharmacist in Congress” he should have had some input and questioned whether Secretary Sylvia Burwell intentionally did not respond to his inquiry before the document came out.
